If a drive is corrupted, one of the following message will be appear to you when you access the drive.

a.) Invalid media type reading drive.
      Abort, Retry, Fail? (DOS)

b.) Disk not formatted. Do you want to format now? (Windows)

c.) Sector not found.

And When you right click the drive, and choose the Property from the popup menu. The file system is displayed as "RAW" in the Drive Property Window. And also, you may see that the file names contain "weird" characters in the drive.

Please follow the following steps to recover files from the RAW drive:

1.) Please download our Windows Data Recovery Software to your PC.

2.) Install our Windows Data Recovery Software to your PC.

3.) Launch our Windows Data Recovery Software, and then please choose "Advanced Recovery Module" to recover your data.

4.) Select the RAW drive you like to recover from the device list page, and then click "Full Scan" button.

5.) After scanning complete, please choose a file system (top 3 are recommended), and then click "Show files" button.

6.) If Advanced Recovery Module still not work, please try to use "Deep Scan Recovery Module"  to recover your data.

Recovery Tips:

DO NOT WRITE ANYTHING ONTO THE DRIVE CONTAINING YOUR LOST DATA!

DO NOT SAVE ONTO THE SAME DRIVE DATA THAT YOU FOUND AND TRYING TO RECOVER!
While saving recovered file or folder onto the same drive where they are located, you can intrude in process of recovering by overwriting table records for this and other deleted entries. It's better to save data onto another logical, removable, network or floppy drive.
